The Book of Ruth is a hopeful story of someone's life who goes from loss to loyalty, bitter to blessed, and scared to redeemed. Ruth walks with her mother in law, Naomi, as a foreigner in Naomi's land. Boaz, the man in charge of a huge piece of land, allows Ruth to pick wheat and barley for her and her mother in law even though she is a foreigner. Boaz shows us relentless compassion to Ruth, just as Jesus shows relentless compassion to us.
